A message from the author:

Hi, I am Lily, and as you might have guessed by now, I write poetry. I started writing in October 2020. I remember very vividly that I was sitting on the toilet, yes, the toilet, and out of the blue, these 2 sentences kept repeating themselves in my head. I was perplexed and decided to take it as a sign and simply write them down. After these two sentences, the rest followed; within 5 minutes, my first poem was written. While writing this right now, I have written about 150 poems in total and to this day, they always show up out of the blue with the first two sentences.

I now believe that I am merely a vessel through which this creation flows and that if I am receptive enough to this creativity, it will come to me when needed. Sometimes I write 3 poems in a day; other times, I haven't written for 3 weeks, but I have faith and believe that I am guided in this.

I write poetry about all sorts of things, but mainly about the great themes of life, such as love, heartbreak, friendship, loss, and nature. I am currently working on my first poetry book, which will hopefully be available for sale in 2024. This book is very personal to me; it gives a complete insight into my thoughts over the past 3 years. It will be all about seasonal change, and I will keep you updated here along the way.
